Why is Asimismo a better choice?
Hello, I am Alessandro, founder of Asimismo. I have a past as a designer: I worked in the creativity industry for 10 years.
When I decided to start with Asimismo, I knew creativity was going to be an important part of the journey. I felt like in the bike guiding industry this was missing, so I’ve decided to create an experience that doesn’t only involve cycling as a sport but as a philosophy.
I wanted to bring more humanity and real connection with people.
At Asimismo, you won’t be treated as a tourist, but as a human being. Having lived abroad for so many years between England, The Netherlands and Argentina, I know how important it is to make people feel like “home away from home”. As well, I understand what a foreigner would like to know and see in a place like Tuscany.
For this reason, we started offering a sensorial and immersive experience in nature, trying to bring all senses into scene. By slowing down the pace, paying attention to subtle details, you’ll be able to get to know the territory as a local, with the eye of someone born here.
The more I think about this, the more I realize that being a guide is not just a job but is like a mission. I feel privileged to show you around and being able to answer questions regarding the land where I was born. Whether it’s a sunset, a coffee along the road at a traditional village or admiring ancient trees in the forest, I’ll make sure we stop and appreciate how the landscape speaks to you, how much this beautiful sport called cycling lets you immerse into nature.
Through my photos I have always tried to capture the essence of each moment. I like to believe that each snap really tells a story, and that’s also why when I take people on the bike, I make sure to create an opportunity for them to remember these places and all the emotions related.
Asimismo has always been driven by curiosity, the love for nature and the appreciation of human connections, something we are probably losing little by little. My aim is to make sure you go back home feeling closer to yourself, to your bike and to the life surrounding you. Maybe I am just a dreamer, maybe not, but by choosing us you will create memories forever.
