Frequently Asked Questions
What you need to know before booking a bike tour in Tuscany with Asimismo
-
Yes. We only do bespoke tours: we design the itinerary according to the level of fitness of our clients and places they want to visit.
-
Not always. Depending where our guests stay, we arrange the tour to start from there. Other times we organize to start the ride from the rental in case clients come without their bikes. A transfer, if necessary, can be arranged at extra cost on request.
-
There is not an exact time. During hot months (July and August) we recommend to start riding no later than 9 am, but we always agree together with our clients a time that will suit both parts.
-
Once you become a customer we will be able to help you on that and either recommend or put you in touch with the best rental according to the area where you are. Becoming a customer means either by buying one of our routes or a tour.
-
Every one day tour includes a professional photographic service along the route and either an Asimismo t-shirt or a custom Asimismo Water cycling bottle, depending on availability. Sport gels and bars are also provided for free. We also offer the best possible service: we will take care of designing the best itinerary for you, according to your skills, needs and requests. When we design a route we take into account the direction of the wind, weather, sun position and more to offer you the best experience.
-
Travel and medical insurance are excluded from any of the package/tours we propose. Food expenses during the ride are also at charge of the client.
-
Payment can be done via Bank Transfer, via Paypal or Wise depending on what suits you best. To know our banking coordinates please get in touch via email at asimismo.eu@gmail.com . We do not accept cash payment on the day of the tour (apart from tips).
-
You don’t have to, but it is recommended to tip the tour guide if you are satisfied with your experience.
-
We are happy to communicate prior the tour and during the day on the bike, in English, Italian or Spanish

For both road and gravel bike we consider a full day tour a 5 hours ride. Having said that we are happy to discuss the length of the ride according to clients needs.
-

We refund 50% of the price you paid if you cancel a tour up to 30 days in advance. After that term we will keep the total sum. We are a small business. For us allocation of resources and planning sometimes means saying no to other opportunities.

We like to work with a maximum of 7 clients for each guide. We accept groups of 10-15 people as well but then we require to involve, at an extra cost, more guides to assist us and be able to guarantee a safe ride. We offer a bespoke service so we also do tour for one person only.
-
Generally speaking, the earlier the better. That will allow us to discuss and design the best itinerary for you. During high season, rentals will also need to know about your booking with some time in advance to let you secure a bike.
-
Each individual one day tour we offer includes a short description of the route and details about the landscape. Ultimately you can use the map at the top of the page to individuate the tour closest to where you are or write us a line here.

For participants under 18 old of age the presence of one of their family member is mandatory. We encourage families bringing teenagers with them to ride but in case they need to rent a bike we strongly advice to discuss the request with us (regarding bike sizes).

We are always open to find the possible best solution to accommodate our clients. According to our calendar we can also reschedule the ride. Options have to be evaluated in each specific case. In case of sudden change of weather condition we can make the decision of shortening the route or cancelling the ride completely.
