We are happy to introduce a new service: self-paced bespoken itineraries, tailor-made for you. Let us tell you why this might be your best option when coming to Tuscany.

This region is considered by many one of the best cycling spots in Europe. Cycling in Tuscany is unlike riding a bike anywhere else in the world.

A fantastic mix of culture, history, delicious food and welcoming people is probably what makes Tuscany so special.  Due to its great weather all year round and mild temperatures, for many decades (and it’s still going) many pro cyclists decided to come live here and choose it as home ground for their daily training.

We have just started talking about this region and you already feel like visiting, don’t you?

Here at Asimismo we have a reputation (a good one, for sure!)  for our one day guided tours, especially the gravel ones, considering that Tuscany has probably the best gravel scene of the continent. Mountains are not very high and the landscape in the central part of the region makes it a true gravel paradise to explore.

During the last few years, bikepacking has become quite trendy and many dedicated cyclists choose this way of travel as the best way to explore a country going from A to B, and C to D carrying with them on the bike all the essentials they might need while being away for a few days up to a week/ten days.

Some people decide to go really wild and camp all along, while some others like having the freedom to spend a few nights in different accommodations along the road.

If you want to visit Tuscany to ride your bike without spending ages on planning your itinerary and you also want to make sure you’ll be able to make the most of it, we invite you to take a look at our itineraries for road and gravel bike.

To get us in the game to create a bespoke itinerary or routes, please just get in touch.

By choosing Asimismo you will be able to get us in the game and rely on our knowledge to plan your route. We will suggest locations where to stay, cycle friendly structures, cafes and restaurants worth visiting and create a bespoken route according to your needs and skills.

We will take everything into account, giving priority to the safety of a segment, the volume of traffic of a road and how scenic it is.

We will allow  you to discover picturesque little villages, going through spectacular trails to appreciate this region with the eye of a local. There are no apps or websites that can substitute the knowledge of someone who lives in certain places and rides locally on a daily basis.

You can have a look at our database of pre-made unpaved or paved routes, or get in touch to discuss the creation of a bespoken one. In this case we will try to accommodate it all to your needs. Other than just a .gpx to load into your Wahoo or Garmin you will receive a description of the itinerary and a personal map where we will highlight every landmark or place worth a stop across the route. Additionally, we will indicate fountains where you can refill your water bottles at any time during the day (and for free!)  and also restaurants/coffee places we have tried that we can recommend.

In summary, Tuscany has lots to offer, especially for cyclists and nature lovers. If you are planning on visiting this region or spending some time here with your bike, please do get in touch so we can help you feel at home, indicating you the best location and places to go and moreover designing you the best possible itinerary. There are great places and roads that want to be discovered and loved, and we are happy to help!
